Only You

When I get up in the morning I just have to say
“O Lord, please help me through this day”
I know that without you I’m as soft as clay
So I put on my armor as I pray

To follow your Word is what I strive
‘Cause I know that without you I would not survive
If I hadn’t found you I could only derive
I would be lost in sin – I wouldn’t be alive

You did so much for me before I even knew
How can I repay? Is there more I can do?
To your love I will always stay so true
I will share it with others until my life is through

Though none go with me still I will follow
Your words of wisdom are far from hollow
These are the words I will chew and swallow
So I’ll serve you today and not wait ‘til tomorrow

For Only You will I fight

You’ve made my life full and complete
You’ve softened this heart made of concrete
It was you who gave me bread to eat
After you pulled me off from the street

You took my life – made me pure and free

And I’ll show my fruit for the world to see

To give you my all is my life’s desire
Lord, I pray you’ll set my soul on fire
That the world may never call me a liar
And my light for you will never retire

Your Word I will follow every day
Whether at work or at play
